Prompting well
Asking for a rewrite
Claude's first draft is usually close, not finished. The skill is asking for the next version with better aim.
A good prompt names the task, gives the context Claude lacks, and says what good output looks like.
Worked example
You
Rewrite this client email to sound warmer but still firm about the deadline.
Claude
Here are two versions. The first softens the opening and keeps your wording; the second restructures around the deadline. Which fits the relationship?
Practice with feedback
Here you will run a real prompt and see whether it named the task, gave Claude the context it needs, and said what good output looks like.
This exercise is being built. For now, read the example above and try it on your own work.
